Forage Information Centre & Café is another stand-alone brand at The Gate tourist centre alongside Highway 8B just down the road from Cromwell’s famous 13 metre ‘Big Fruit’ sculpture that celebrates the importance of fruit growing to the Central Otago economy.

Just under an hour from Queenstown Airport, even less from Wanaka and on the main Christchurch – Queenstown and Queenstown – Dunedin highways, Forage could not be better positioned for tourists hungry for food and refreshment or thirsty for information and being able to make accommodation, activities and tour bookings there and then.

With Queenstown’s ever increasing popularity as a tourist destination and place to live and work, traffic congestion can be issue, especially in the afternoons at a time when visitors are driving into Queenstown desperate to get to an information centre to sort their bookings.

All the more reason for taking advantage of the free and easy parking at Forage where our staff not only have great customer service and barista skills, but are also trained to give travel advice and to make destination accommodation and other bookings whether it’s bungee jumping, jetboating the Shotover River or a relaxing Milford Sound Cruise.

An important benefit for travellers, Forage Information
Centre & Café is open at 6am until late
